Night Sitting

Having a carer there for you throughout the night can sometimes be the difference between being able to live at your own home and having to stay at a care home.

Similarly, if just the thought of being on your own during the night makes you feel unsettled, an Bells Home Care carer can give you priceless reassurance and peace of mind so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep in comfort and safety.

Our trained night sitters can help you with:

·       Going to bed and getting up

·       Taking medication

·       Ensuring you are warm and comfortable

·       Going to the bathroom

They will also provide you with companionship and be there for you if you wake during the night.

Social Calls

Whilst living on your own has lots of benefits, on times it can be lonely, and you can feel quite isolated.  Seeing a friendly face can lift your spirits, break up the day and give you something to look forward to.

Whether you’d like some companionship in the morning, perhaps to chat about the morning news, or to have someone to share a cup of tea with in the afternoon, you can arrange a social call at any time of the day, and as little or often as you want.

During a social call our carers can:

·       Pop in for a chat

·       Read a book with you

·       Help you with your hobbies

·       Play games, such as cards, chess or a jigsaw puzzle

·       Take you on a trip out of the house, such as for some fresh air down the local park or a coffee in the local café

·       Walk or play with your dog

Respite care

During respite care our carers can:

·       Help you with all aspects of daily personal care, such as using the bathroom, preparing meals or taking medication

·       Prepare meals, do your shopping

·       Be with you throughout the night

·       Provide companionship

·       Shop for groceries and other household items

·       Do light domestic duties, such as cleaning and ironing

·       Help you look after your pets

·       Light Domestic duties

While living in your own home is the most rewarding way to live, the domestic duties involved can become a strain.  We understand how stressful it is when you are unable to strip, wash and iron your bed clothes, or when the cleanliness of your home is not what it used to be.  To relieve you of this pressure our carers can take over from you and do all or some of your domestic duties, including:

·       Cleaning

·       Vacuuming

·       Washing

·       Ironing

·       Changing of bed clothes

·       Care of pets

Our carers can do these domestic duties as little or as often as you want. They are meticulous in their work and are happy to do each duty in the way you have always done.  If you are already receiving care, these domestic duties can be incorporated into your existing care routine.

If you have an appointment, want to go shopping or simply visit a friend, we can offer a Transport service which will transport you to your destination safely and on time.

·       We can safely take you to your destination, you may want to:
